French Water Agencies
ONE AMBITION: GOOD WATER STATUS IN FRANCE
Created by the 1964 water law, the 6 water agencies are public establishments of the State. They carry out a general interest mission to manage and preserve water resources and aquatic environments.
Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the water agencies collect fees from all water users according to the "polluter pays" and "user pays" principles. Most of the amounts collected are reinvested in the form of financial aid to local authorities, economic players and farmers to finance actions to restore good water status.
They also help local authorities to develop decentralised cooperation actions with communities in developing countries.
Junior Entreprise of the Ecole Polytechnique
XProjets is the Junior-Enterprise of the Ecole Polytechnique. It is an association according to the French law of 1901 with a non profit goal but with an economic vocation. Concretely, companies contact us in order to realize very diverse missions, it can be web development, data management, R&D or even market research. A project manager, a member of the JE, will then talk to the client and propose the mission to one or more participants who are students of the School. The latter will be paid for their services and we will act as an intermediary between the client and the service provider. XProjets is an association at the service of the students of the Ecole Polytechnique, allowing everyone to increase their skills by carrying out a more or less difficult and technical project for a company. It also offers the opportunity for students to benefit from a first experience in the professional world.
